We’re proud to announce that Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College has been ranked the top institution in Kenya for inclusivity in Gender Mainstreaming under the Dual TVET training program!
This outstanding recognition was confirmed during a three-day training workshop held at Jacaranda Hotel, Nairobi, from 8th to 10th April 2025. The training was sponsored by SD-TVET in partnership with GIZ (German Cooperation) and the Government of Finland.

The training focused on sensitizing TVET institutions on how to integrate gender and disability inclusion in Dual TVET training — a critical step toward creating an equal and accessible learning environment for all.
💼 What is Dual TVET?
The Dual Training system combines classroom learning with hands-on industrial experience. Students not only learn theory but also spend part of their training working directly with industry partners, gaining practical skills that are in high demand.
