Trainees from our Department of Agriculture & Environmental Studies at Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College are taking their learning to the field! Through a Dual TVET Training Program at Kitolo Farm, Konza Machakos, they are getting invaluable practical experience in Farm Machinery Operations and advanced crop production techniques.
During their time at the farm, students gained hands-on skills in tractor service, repair, and maintenance. They also learned to hitch and unhitch various implements and operate equipment like different types of ploughs, harrows, and a manual planter.
This unique combination of classroom theory and industry-based training ensures our students graduate with the practical skills that employers are looking for. Our heartfelt thanks to the James Kitolo family and all our industry partners for helping us make Dual TVET training a reality!
