☀️ Grid Independence Verified: KCB Bank and Engineers Audit MTTVC’s Solarization Plant

🗓️ June 16, 2026

Machakos County — Following the successful installation phase of our green energy transition, Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College hosted a high-level corporate and technical delegation for a rigorous post-implementation monitoring and evaluation exercise.

The assessment mission brought together our financing partners from KCB Bank Machakos Branch, led by Branch Manager Mr. Stephen Kilundo and Mr. Ngare, alongside the green energy engineering team from Hudomer Technologies, led by project contractor Mr. Harold Murimi. The joint exercise focused on auditing the real-time load distribution, structural utility, and long-term sustainability metrics of our new solar power matrix.

🔋 Operational Report: 100% Green Power Integration

The monitoring team ran extensive system diagnostics across the campus grid. The final evaluation confirmed that MTTVC has fully and optimally integrated the solar infrastructure into its daily heavy-industrial operations.

[Solar PV Infrastructure]
   │
├──► Engineering Workshops (Heavy Lathes, Drills & Welding Transformers)
├──► ICT Hubs & Laboratories (Jitume Lab Server Consoles & Digital Arrays)
├──► Administrative Blocks (Main Registry, Databases & Communication Systems)
└──► Essential Utilities (Campus-wide Lighting, Water Pumps & Security Links)

By completely routing these high-drain academic departments through the smart solar array, the college has achieved instant, uninterrupted energy security—effectively immunizing our workshops against national grid fluctuations and sudden power blackouts.

🌿 Corporate and National Impact Alignment

The operational success of this infrastructure represents a major milestone in modern TVET management:

  • Overhead Reduction: Slashing institutional electricity expenditures and freeing up resources to purchase additional training raw materials.
  • Carbon Mitigation: Substantially lowering our campus carbon footprint, aligning MTTVC directly with Kenya’s green transition agenda.
  • Live Instructional Models: Serving as a permanent, live study model for our Electrical and Electronics engineering trainees who monitor the grid’s power inversion and battery storage cycles daily.

The MTTVC administration extends its sincere gratitude to the Government of Kenya, the KCB Bank team for their steadfast development financing, and Hudomer Technologies for their elite engineering execution.
