In a colorful ceremony, the National Irrigation Authority (NIA), Kenya (Lower Eastern Region) officially handed over the completed Borehole and Integrated Water Supply Project to the Board of Governors and Management of Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College.
The milestone event brought together NIA technical officers, the MTTVC Board of Governors, college administration, local National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO), and community members to celebrate the culmination of a project executed with complete technical precision—from the initial hydrological surveys and professional drilling to the installation of high-capacity pumping, filtration, and campus-wide distribution networks.

- 🚰 Pure Institutional Drinking Water: With a modern on-site water treatment and purification plant, the college now guarantees safe, clean, and tested drinking water for all trainees, trainers, administrative staff, and visitors.
- 🏪 Community Water Access: Extending the blessings beyond our perimeter fence, the initiative powers dedicated water kiosks in local markets, ensuring surrounding households and businesses have reliable access to clean water.
- 🏗️ 24/7 Campus Utility & Construction Support: The borehole fully supports the college’s daily sanitation, workshop needs, and ongoing infrastructural expansion without reliance on erratic external supply.
