At Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College, we ensure our trainees are fully prepared before they ever step foot into a professional workshop. Through our Industrial Liaison Office, we successfully conducted a comprehensive Sensitization Session for trainees scheduled to begin their Dual TVET Training in January 2026.
This session is a mandatory requirement by TVET CDACC regulations, designed to ensure a smooth transition from college to industry.
A Multidisciplinary Approach
The session brought together 56 trainees from a wide array of specialized departments, all ready to take their skills to the next level:

What Our Trainees Learned
To ensure our students represent MTTVC with excellence, they were guided on several key areas of professional life:
- ✅ Workplace Conduct: Understanding the ethics, discipline, and soft skills required in a modern work environment.
- ✅ Reporting Procedures: Learning how to document their progress and communicate effectively with supervisors.

- ✅ Industry Expectations: Aligning their technical skills with the real-world needs of our industry partners.
This sensitization is a vital step in making our trainees industry-ready. By equipping them with the right knowledge and confidence, we ensure they are not just “students,” but “professionals in training.”
