Machakos County — In a major development that underscores our growing footprint in national skills training, Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College had the privilege of hosting a high-level joint delegation from the State Department for TVET (SDTVET) and the National Youth Service (NYS) for a comprehensive institutional preparedness inspection.
This strategic inspection paves the way for Machakos Town TVC to officially admit, house, and train NYS cohorts, equipping them with certified, market-driven technical competencies across our specialized engineering, technology, and applied science faculties.
🔍 A Comprehensive Audit of Campus Infrastructure
The joint oversight team was conducted through an exhaustive, ground-level assessment of our academic and student-support capacity, led by distinguished officials:
- National Youth Service (NYS) Delegation: Mr. Nicodemus Okong’o and Mr. Abraham Ndung’u
- State Department for TVET (SDTVET) Delegation: Mr. James Mbogo and Ms. Faith Kamau
The visiting leadership toured our heavy engineering workshops, digital laboratories, lecture spaces, student amenities, and neighborhood accommodation frameworks. The inspection verified that our modern tooling, practical CBET curricula, and secure learning environment meet the rigorous training and discipline benchmarks required for national youth empowerment initiatives.
