🗓️ June 2nd, 2025
Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College (MTTVC) was honored to host the Kalama Sub County 62nd Madaraka Day celebrations. This special event brought together the community to commemorate the day Kenya achieved internal self-rule.
The celebration was graced by the Chief Guest, Madam Pamela Kiama, the DCC of Kalama Sub County, and her full security team. She was joined by ACCs Madam Pamela Jeruto and Madam Janet Cherotich. The presidential speech, which she read to the crowd, highlighted the nation’s significant progress since independence while also reminding everyone of the work still ahead to fulfill the dreams of a truly independent Kenya.
During her address, the DCC and other dignitaries emphasized the importance of technical skills, encouraging the public to embrace the training opportunities available at MTTVC. They stressed that this kind of education is a sure path to self-liberation and true independence.
The college received great feedback from the hundreds of community members in attendance, who praised the institution for its excellent preparation and hospitality. We are grateful to the DCC and the entire organizing committee for the opportunity to host such a colorful and meaningful occasion and look forward to doing so again in the future.
