On 12th November 2024, Hon. Caleb Mutiso Mule, Member of Parliament for Machakos Town Constituency, visited Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College to inspect the progress of a borehole project he had initiated within the college compound.
The MP expressed confidence that the project, which aims to supply water to both the college and the surrounding community, will be completed within the next two weeks.
Key details of the project include:
- Borehole Yield: The borehole will have a capacity of 6 cubic meters per hour, ensuring a steady and reliable water supply.
- Solar Powered: The system will be powered by solar energy, promoting sustainability and reducing energy costs.
- Water Distribution: Water will be supplied through raised tanks, using gravity to deliver it to the college, Kiatuni Market, Ikuuni Market, and nearby primary and secondary schools.
This project reflects the MP’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and enhance the quality of life for both students and the local community.
