Machakos County — Transitioning to green, renewable energy is a critical step in building a modern, self-reliant, and environmentally conscious institution. Today, Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College took a major leap forward in this journey by hosting a high-level delegation for a comprehensive audit of our ongoing campus Solarization Project.
We had the distinct privilege of welcoming esteemed officers from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA)—Judy Kirui, Charity Mwita, Vincent Omollo, and Mercy Kariuku—alongside our lead project contractors from Hudomer Technologies.
🔋 Driving Sustainable Infrastructure & Efficiency
The joint assessment team conducted a rigorous, on-the-ground evaluation of the solar infrastructure to:
- Review Implementation Progress: Assessing the technical milestones of the solar installation across campus facilities.
- Ensure Quality Compliance: Verifying that all engineering works, inverters, and panel installations meet strict national regulatory and safety standards.
- Provide Strategic Optimization: Delivering expert technical recommendations to maximize energy yield, ensure system longevity, and optimize the institution’s energy efficiency.
This audit marks a significant milestone in MTTVC’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure, operational excellence, and significantly reducing institutional energy costs.
