Today, trainees from the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College rolled up their sleeves and dove straight into intensive practical sessions under the Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) model.
Instead of merely memorizing engine components on paper, our Motor Vehicle Mechanics students spend their training hours where it truly matters—working directly on vehicle systems, running computerized diagnostic scans, tuning carburetors and fuel-injection lines, servicing brake assemblies, and troubleshooting automotive electrical wiring.
Under the direct supervision of experienced automotive instructors, trainees learn how to approach vehicle repair with scientific precision: identifying root causes, executing exact torque specifications, and delivering reliable mechanical solutions that align with modern automotive industry standards.
