On Wednesday, 22nd January 2025, Machakos Town Technical and Vocational College had the honor of hosting Madam Hope Muturi, a TVET Specialist from the GIZ-Kenya Government Partnership under the Promotion of Youth Employment and Vocational Training program.
During her visit, Madam Hope sensitized the institution’s staff on the importance and implementation of Dual TVET training—a dynamic approach that blends classroom learning with hands-on industry experience. She commended Machakos Town TVC for being among the 60 TVET institutions nationwide actively driving the Dual TVET agenda.
In 2024, 37 trainees successfully participated in the Dual TVET training cycle, gaining invaluable skills directly aligned with industry needs. This year, plans are already underway to triple that number, ensuring more trainees benefit from this innovative approach to learning.
